Our Facility Master Planning Committee (FMPC) has been working behind the scenes over the past few months with the contractor, Clancey & Theys, and our architect, WKWW. Our WKWW has started work on putting the Design Development drawings together. The mechanical engineers have started the process of determining what systems will best serve us. WKWW has worked on refining the building layout. The civil engineer has been working on the site plans. This process will continue over the coming months.
The construction committee has worked with WKWW and their engineers to set up a meeting with the city. This will take place in the next few weeks. This meeting is to present the initial plan for the project. This will give the city an opportunity to discuss issues they see prior to the submission of the plans for approval. The committee has also worked to arrange a surveyor to conduct a site survey. They have also worked to hire a testing agent to conduct soils test where the addition will be located.
In the coming months the drawings will be developed further. The next step should be to look at the drawings and specifications and WKWW will be working with Clancy & Theys to assure that we are on track for what we want in the project and what we can afford. The committee will be ready and available to assist with the questions that will be coming as this process moves forward.
